Hello Creatives!!!! I hope your week is going well. Today we will look at one of my shoots I did with the legendary Vida Guerra. Vida, to many is the epitome sexiness, sophistication, beauty, and iconic. Vida has fans all around the world is also known in the movie and entertainment industry as well. We take a closer look at the viral “rain shoot” we did a while back that got a lot of love and appreciation. The shoot is a play off the classic movie ‘Flash Dance’ starring Jennifer Beals. The has been done many times over in the past so we decided to give our creative vibes to it. We booked the location in downtown Los Angeles at FD Photo Studio. There they had a rain room that was newly installed in the studio. This was perfect and exactly what we needed. The room was all black with a set of windows to the back, perfect for the natural light feel for I wanted. The water panel was located at the top of the studio and was controlled by a single handle to control the flow of the water. My only issue was the water wasn’t as warm as i wanted but they seem to not be an issue after we started. I chose this location because even though we could have done it outdoors when it rained, this was a perfect substitute due to the control we had there as far as if we needed to change anything or not. The outfit we choose was a pair of black, crotch-less pantyhose with a criss cross backing by the waist. These were a perfect for Vida. We also choice a black sleeveless, crop top as well. The only props we used was a chair that the studio provided. I shot natural light with mostly and I used my speed light as well to fill in shadows and to give it a certain look and feel. With Vida being who she is, all I needed to do was click the shutter and shoot and she did the rest. We both were really happy with the outcome of the shoot. We also managed to get BTS footage as well which is posted on our social media pages. When the finally set was done and edited we both were really happy and excited to show the word. This sis defintely one of my best shoots to date. To see more follow us on our Instagram below:
Returning with a new post on “A Closer Look”.
Today I wanna give my insight on Miami based model
Kellie. This shoot was something I have been wanting to do for a long time, a beautiful talented model, the beach, a one piece, and a palm tree branch lol. This was on my bucket list and I must say I was excited with the outcome. Kellie was the perfect candidate for the look and shoot. She embodied everything I wanted and needed to make this shoot a success. The outfit was picked up by me in a store in Hollywood Blvd in
Los Angeles,CA. I figured the Jamaican styled one piece would be a perfect fit for the shoot. I chose Virginia Keys Beach in Key Biscayne,FL as the ideal location. I always wanted to shoot with a palm tree branch and every time I tried to shoot with one I couldn’t get or find a branch around lol. On the day of the shoot I was scouting the location and lucked and found a perfectly nice one. I was in heaven and knew the shoot would be a success just based off that alone. Kellie was a joy and easy to work with. Her style and look was beautiful and the shoot was really something for the books.

In this series, you will get an inside look in detail of the “who, what, when, why, and how” of a photoshoot I've done. I will talk about everything from the model down to the wardrobe. I hope you enjoy this new series and each week I will drop a photo detailing “ A Closer Look”
Thanks for visiting my site and taking a look around. I really hope you enjoyed my content and please come back to see more. For this shoot I traveled to Las Vegas,NV. I wanted to do a sexy desert/dry lake bed shoot. In my mind, I was considering a “Mad Max” type of vibe but with a twist. The model who executed this was a Natalie, someone I've worked with before in the past. Great vibes and energy she has and even though it was really windy, we still managed to get the job done. The drylake is called El Dorado, about 20 minutes outside the city. The look/wardrobes that was chosen was pretty interesting and defintely fit the style of the shoot. We decided to go with a brown and black Fendi bikini, snake skin thigh high boots, and orange futuristic style sunglasses which was really the icing on the cake. The outfit was perfect. When all was put together, a masterpiece was ensembled. We both were very happy with this look and concept.
